The Love Knot: His Excellency's First Love, also known as Moonshine And Valentine, is a Chinese Drama that is currently airing starring Song Qian (Victoria Song) and Huang Jing Yu (Johnny Huang).
The supernatural themed story is about Guan Pipi (Song Qian), who plays a young woman with the dream of becoming a reporter but is doing an internship with the paparazzi, and He Lan Jing Ting (Huang Jing Yu) who is the left priest of a fox clan but has the problem of only being able to see during the night what makes him blind during the day. Though as a fox he has no problems with this and a romance story continues that has started many years ago.
Though the drama is mostly a modern drama, it is layered with ancient flashbacks of their past lives with Guan Pipi being reincarnated while Helan Jing Ting lives a long life and searching for the reincarnation of his first love through the years.
It may sound heavy, but it is a comedy romance and filled with sweet and funny moments. Add some nice supporting roles and it really is my cup of tea since I love supernatural romance stories.
