Oh! Me Emperor, aka I Want You, Emperor; is a Chinese webdrama that has one of my most favorite genres, transmigration.
The female lead, Luo Fei Fei, is played bu Zhao Lu Si who has played in Untouchable Lovers while the male lead emperor is played by X-NINE idol member Jason Koo.
This idol webdrama has relative new actors and actresses, hence it's not that professional but definitely amusing and relaxing to watch.

(Zhao Lu Si as Luo Fei Fei)
Luo Fei Fei, an intern working in the hospital in our modern world, is mysteriously transported to another ancient country called Huang Dao Guo. In this ancient country, there is the rule that the emperor is chosen among the 12 constellations every thousand years. The current emperor, Bei Tang Yi, is a Capricorn and does not have such a good relationship with his handsome uncle, Bei Tang Mo Ran (played by X-NINE member, Xiao Zhan).
When I first read the plot, I was already sold. It was another transmigration story that has slowly been crawling back to the audiences. Because it's a webdrama, it survived and luckily it did!
I know the actress for the female lead from Untouchable Lovers, where she played Ma Xue Yun, a character I detested and hated with my entire body. Because of this, I wasn't' sure how Zhao Lu Si would portray Luo Fei Fei.
With a bit of hesitation, I decided to click on the first episode and I was already liking how normal the character Luo Fei fei is. A sassy and playful young woman who admired a male idol... We all went through that.
When she met her idol at the hospital by chance and even got tickets for his concert, she couldn't be happier. Just that...luck wasn't really on her side. She had to use the bicycle to get to the venue, but because of an accident, she flew into the air (dramatic, isn't it?) and transmigrated to the ancient country, Huang Dao Guo.

(Jason Koo as the emperor, Bei Tang Yi)
At first I was confused with the water sport they were doing in the palace but handsome men were making me get over that quite fast. Like a meteor, Luo Fei Fei lands in the water and attaches her to the emperor because, surprise... He looks exactly like her precious idol.
At this moment the imperial uncle, Bei Tang Mo Ran, received a vision of fragments of the future with him getting close to this woman that fell down from the sky.
The synopsis I read for this drama didn't mention any superpowers! I was positively surprised by this and was feeling even more hyped.

(Xiao Zhan as Bei Tang Mo Ran)
Luo Fei Fei couldn't believe she actually transmigrated but luckily for her her bag also got transmigrated along with her. What's essential in there? Some facial mask sheets and a teaser for self protection, hilarious!
A lot of really funny and simply hilarious things happen and I just love the fact that Luo Fei Fei is still a modern woman and didn't abruptly change herself in a virtuous ancient lady. She likes playing and joking around, is a foodie, is so casual and carefree that the men have fallen for her. She isn't overly stupid, naive or ambitious which makes it quite nice and refreshing to watch.
Personally, I prefer the imperial uncle but only because he's such a nice character...for now.
There are some scenes where I couldn't help but laugh or are just so funny that transmigrating might not seem like a bad idea at all to escape our cruel world.
For example when Luo Fei Fei attempts to ride a donkey or when she ends up playing cards with the jail guards.

There are other members of the idol group X-NINE acting in this webdrama as well, along with those I haven't seen before. Some are better in acting than others. The one I really can't stand is the female general. Nice character but the actress just can't act that well which made it awkward to watch.
And the thing I just love is how the second female lead...is a dork as well! She becomes besties with Luo Fei Fei and treats her as a true friend.
Beneath all the comedy and romance, there is a more darker plot going on as well. Luo Fei Fei's identity gets questioned and darker powers are trying to mess everything up.

Season 1 ended with quite a cliff hanger, but a second season is confirmed to air 25th of may 2018, just in a few days! I saw new characters so I'm really looking forward to it!
Though it might be a webdrama and has a low budget, I really like the drama so far; It's not too heavy and serious and not overdone. It's funny where it should be and it's lively. It's one of the better transmigration stories I have seen and a plot that's easy to follow yet has those mysterious moments.
I strongly recommend you to try it out and follow the journey with Luo Fei Fei. It's a well balanced mixture of romance, comedy, supernatural, fantasy, transmigration and mystery.
An extra is all the eye candy, so many pretty young men...!
